Shifting the narrative to make carbon offsetting more inclusive
My name is Charlotte and I am the Founder of Nula Carbon, a carbon offsetting company working to make forest protection part of everyday life. I currently run Nula on my own and was looking for support to help set up my launch campaign when I saw someone mention Furlonteer on LinkedIn. The timing was perfect.
Could you tell us a little more about your cause?
Nula Carbon is a social and environmental cause. Our aim is to shift the narrative around carbon offsetting, working to make it more inclusive, as well as making forest protection part of everyday life.
To do this, we have set up a carbon credit subscription for the same price as Spotify, which means that you can get climate active whilst drinking a coffee.
We've worked hard to make our credits accessible and easy to understand.
What's more, you can triple your impact because our credits not only protect forests but also the animals, communities and ecosystems that rely on them.
Which roles were you able to find support with through Furlonteer and how has this helped you?
I don't have much experience in the world of digital marketing or social media, so those are two of the key areas that I was looking for support with. Amelia has not only helped to create a launch marketing strategy but has also designed some wonderful assets for social media.
I have also received support with our Instagram content calendar, with Abbie finding me a wide range of accounts to follow and posts to potentially share. Finally, Ian is creating a launch animation to generate some buzz about Nula and to help change the narrative around offsetting. I can't wait to see it when it goes live!
Is there anything you’d say to others considering signing up to Furlonteer for support?
Everyone at Furlonteer has been a huge help to me. You have offered me a range of support and I don't think my launch campaign would look the same without the additional advice and assets that I have received. Without the animation and digital marketing direction, there would be a lot of the same stills used again and again without any kind of strategy. The support and advice have been invaluable.

All of the Furlonteers have been incredibly generous with their time and I could not recommend it enough. My advice would be to go with a specific project that is manageable within short time constraints so that you are not caught short if someone receives a job offer elsewhere. I am incredibly grateful, thank you Furlonteer.
